The City of West Torrens - Trees
For this 2D animated graphics project, we focused on communicating the everyday benefits of trees in a way that was visually engaging and easy to understand. Guided by the City of West Torrens’ environmental goals, we researched local greening strategies, community values, and the practical impact of urban tree coverage. This informed a friendly and informative tone, helping highlight how trees can cool homes, improve wellbeing, and add value to properties—while reinforcing the council’s vision for a sustainable and thriving neighbourhood.

To ground the animation in real community relevance, we explored a range of sources—from local council reports and urban planning documents to studies on the environmental and economic impact of tree canopy cover. We also looked at public engagement campaigns and how residents perceive green spaces in their suburbs. This research helped shape a narrative that was not only informative but also emotionally resonant, ensuring the graphics would speak to both the practical and personal value of trees in the City of West Torrens.
